Things to consider when thinking about how we might work together
Who I work with: I provide counselling services for individuals aged 18 and above, supporting adults of all ages in their journey towards personal growth and well-being.
Face to face in person: Traditional face to face in person counselling offers you a safe, comfortable, private space outside your day-to-day environments home/work to work through whatever has been troubling you.
Working online: Webcam and telephone counselling is suitable for most people. However, if you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, face-face counselling is more appropriate.
For online counselling you will need a computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera and a secure email account that I can send session details to. Online sessions will be conducted via Zoom, which is a secure, encrypted online meeting service.
Working via the Telephone: For telephone counselling you will need a consistently good phone signal and a space where you feel safe and able to talk freely without being overheard . Just like working in person these sessions are time for you to sit and reflect on your experiences and what troubling you. While telephone counselling can be convenient and flexible it is not something that can be done while driving or completing other activities.
Confidentially is of paramount importance within the counselling relationship so, for both telephone and online counselling you will need a private and safe space where you can talk freely, will not be overheard. You will also need an email address that is secure and that only you have access to.
